Salt Lake Comic Con 2014 Vendor Booths

Hello Exhibitors!

We are all very excited for Salt Lake Comic Con and hope you are as well. Please read the following information carefully! This will answer most, if not all of your questions.

Looking for Prize Donations

If you are interested in donating items to be used for prizes that will be given away throughout Comic Con please bring them to the information booth startingon Wednesday. Please include your business card so we can let the people who win know where their great prize came from. Address and Exhibitor Location

Salt Lake Comic Con will take place at the Salt Palace Convention Center, 100 S W Temple, Salt Lake City. Exhibitors are placed in Halls A-E & 1-5.

Expo Hall Hours:
Thursday, September 4: 1PM-8PM
Friday, September 5: 10AM-7PM
Saturday,September 6: 9:30AM-7PM

The first hour of each day is available exclusively for our Gold/VIP pass holders. These attendees have paid extra for the chance to shop a bit early, so you should see some highly motivated buyers during this hour of the con.

Check-in

Check in starts at 8am on Wednesday, September 3. Please check-in at the information booth located between halls E and 1. If you have not paid for your space in full, you will not get clearance for set-up. My team and I will be at the information booth checking you in and handling your exhibitor badges.

Tickets/Badges

Vendors will receive four (4) exhibitor badges and four (4) free Thursday wristbands per 10×10 space. Additional exhibitor badges can be purchased for $40 at the information booth. You can switch out your badges for staff by leaving them at the information booth.

Set up/unloading

Main unloading is on Wednesday, September 3, from 8am-7pm and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – noon. Due to the holiday, there is only one full day for vendor set up. For load in you can load in from the dock off of 100 S 200 W Halls A-E. Do not leave your vehicle parked in the docs while you set up. The docs are to be used for unloading/loading only.  THERE IS NO DRIVE IN this year.  Please have signage clear on the back of your booth. Bring a dolly if you need one. There are none there to rent. Cartload service is available thru GES for $25 a trip. Your 10×10 booth comes with pipe and drape, a 6ft x 30” skirted table (per 10×10 space), 2 chairs, a company identification sign and a wastebasket.

You can park below in the Salt Palace garage and use the elevator to come to the main level, the cost is $12 or you can park at City Creek Center for hourly rates beginning at $1 an hour.  You can also park around Salt Lake and take the Trax system if you prefer.

Utah State Tax Commission will be around before the show on Thursday at 10am with a temporary tax ID.  You must fill the form out and return it within 10 days to avoid a penalty.

Exhibitors must man their booths at all show hours, we will not be responsible for stolen items.  All materials used in exhibits must be fire retardants.  No paper banners allowed, vinyl is accepted. No straw or hay bales.

There is a policy from Utah Food Services of NO water bottles and NO alcohol or food larger than one ounce to be passed out to attendees unless the item is purchased from them.  Please ask for a form for sampling or selling food items. If you have a food item, a fee will need to be paid to Utah Food Services. Individually wrapped candy of 1 oz or less is acceptable.  All drinks that are sampled need to be in a two (2) ounce Dixie Cup. There are to be no helium balloons unless weighted down and tethered.  No helium tanks are allowed at the Salt Palace Convention Center during the show.

Tear down is Saturday night, September 6, 7:00 p.m.– 11:55 p.m.  Please don’t take down early.  It looks unprofessional and you never know the best customer might be there at the end of the show.

Vendor Booth Information

Regular Booth Space includes:

  • 10’x10′ booth (There is a $100 corner charge for each corner booth)
  • 4 THURSDAY only wristbands (for friends and family of Vendors)
  • 3ft side and 8ft back drapes
  • Company Identification Sign (7″ x 30″)
  • 6ft skirted table
  • Chairs & Wastebaskets
  • Listing in Show Directory

No Refunds

  • Vendors are responsible for special permits, sales tax as applicable.
  • Payment is due at time of registration
  • Lease agrees to display only products identified above.
  • Electrical power, labor and equipment handling, lighting, carpeting and any additional furnishings needed for your booth needs to be ordered through GES and is an additional charge. Please contact GES at 801-656-1944 or at the following link: GES Ordering.
  • Internet is an additional charge, please fill out the following form and submit it to the Salt Palace: Wireless Request
  • Booth space is sold on a first come, first serve basis
  • If the products being sold are not family friendly or relating to our demographic, they will be subject to approval
  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone

Upon registering, a booth will be assigned to you and an informational packet will be sent one month prior to the event. Booths are distributed on a first come, first serve basis.
